Цели урока:
Дидактическая цель: создать условия для
применения ЗУН и осуществлять предметную компетентность в стандартной и новой ситуации.
Цели по содержанию:
Воспитательная: формировать интерес к
культуре, истории и традициям родной страны и, воспитывать толерантность к
иноязычной культуре.
Развивающая: развивать учебно-информационные и
коммуникативные умения и навыки, развивать память, наблюдательность, логическое
мышление.
Образовательная: создать условия для
применения ЗУН в знакомой и новой учебной ситуациях.
Практические задачи урока: развивать умения
монологической и диалогической речи; развивать навыки чтения; развивать навыки
аудирования, развивать лексико-грамматические навыки.
Тип урока:
Комбинированный урок
Наглядный материал: иллюстрации, дающие
представление о достопримечательностях Элисты; магнитофон, аудиокассета с
музыкой; раздаточный материал; карта Калмыкии.

Well, the subject matter of our lesson is “Our varied land”.
It seems to me that our world is a book, and those who do not travel, read only
a page. Today we are going to visit different places (our texts and exercises
will help us). I hope that we’ll speak about Elista and its famous sights.
That’s why the motto of our lesson is “East or West, home is best”

T: Teenagers from different countries have different
opinions about the places they live in.
Here are some opinions of young people. Are they positive or
negative? Why do you think so?
It’s too hot and dry and there’s nothing to do.
It’s a great life out here. We can be outdoors all day.
It’s all so clean and natural here. We find plenty to do.
We’re not bored.
So far there are no large hotels and the village has avoided
the effect of mass tourism.

Would you like to live in places with such characteristics?

- My city has an excellent situation. Because it’s near the
ocean, the city serves as major commercial center. Of course, there is
plenty of work here. The city is very big, crowded and very hot.
- The city lies in a valley with mountains rising behind it.
The mountains add to the attractiveness of the city. But on the other
hand, they cut the city off. The people are hospitable here. A friendly
smile is a common thing in a street, shop, everywhere.
- A lot of the place is pretty wild with rain forests,
mountains, lakes where you can go on real adventure holidays. But everyday
life is not easy. You can feel terribly isolated out here. Droughts, fire,
flood are the dangers.

Now we know that we’ll be able to do it next summer. It’s great. But first we’d
like to learn more about your town. Besides it’s interesting to know what
activities we can take part in when we are there. We are looking forward to
hearing from you.
