1 Pre-reading activities.
Now we are going to read the
text the title of which is ‘’ Financial Careers’’.
Can you predict what the text
is about? Try to explain the meaning of the word ‘’career’’. The adjectives: brilliant
successful glittering distinguished are often used with the word career.
What jobs are related to
finances?
As you can see there are 4
subtitles. Let’s read them aloud:

Do you understand the meanings
of the words? To understand them better, match the words to their
definitions.
