Learning objectives

Use  “have got”  to ask each other about their own things. 

 

Lesson objectives

All learners will be able to:

 

- listen  and repeat the sentences with have;

- listen  and understand the main point of the story;

- pronounce new words (and short phrases in a story when reading aloud)

 

Most learners will be able to:

 

- recognize  the pronouns: I, we, you, they;

-use have got ”  without mistakes;

-translate the story with the help of the teacher.

 

Some learners will be able to:

 

- recognize and name all words

-make up sentences with “have got”

-read the story fluently and translate

Language objectives

Learners must know: Grammar structure: I’ve got …, we’ve got…, they’ve got, you’ve got…

key words: A shark, think, an island. a telescope

phrases: don’t worry, to be safe.

Useful classroom language:

Open your books at page 64. Look at the pictures. Listen. Work in pairs/groups. Read the words. Let’s act out the story.

Look at the picture. I’ve got a …. We’ve got a …. They’ve got a …. You’ve got a… What animal is this?

Organization moment.

Lead in. Learners revise some  key words from previous  lessons. The cards with tasks will be given to pupils. They will answer and turn to another sight of the paper. So teacher will divide them into three groups according to the picture of the animal: 1 Cats 2 mice 3 birds.

T: Now, all you have got three kinds of animals in your cards.

Who has got  a  cat , you must sit  at the table №1,

-  a mouse at the table №2

- a bird  at the table №3

   

The sound sh. I’ll show some examples and they’ll discuss then read them.

Asking home task

-          I will ask a new vocabulary using a ball.

Then I’ll give 2 pictures and several sentences or expressions to each group given  from the book and pupils must match the sentences with the pictures and find their order.

Listening. Exercise 1 p 64. Pupils will listen the story in order to check if they are right or wrong.

 

 

The game: “Catching the fish”

There will be a pool full of toys such as horse, caw, bird, tiger and etc. then teacher will give them a fishing rod to catch a fish. Pupil can catch one of the toys because at the tip of the rod there will be a magnet. With the help of gravitational force children can take a thing from the pool. After taking something a student will say: ‘I have got a… or you have got a …’ Then teacher will ask them the reason of taking the thing from the pool without any conjunction.

 

Relaxation

Pupils will watch a video, which connects with the structure ‘have got a’ at the same time dance and sing a song

 

Writing. Sociogram. Group work.

There will be many things on teacher’s table and teacher will ask pupils to write the names of these words in English as more as they can in 2 minutes. On the one sticker - only one word. After they will count the words and the group which has few words will stick them on the board. And other two groups will fill up that is to stick the words which are not noticed.

 

Reading

Activity book: Exercise 2 page 67

What have Denzel and Carolina got? Write Yes or No. According to the picture children will write yes or no. if they can see definite thing in the picture they will write yes if not they’ll write no. doing this exercise I can check their reading and at the same time writing skills.

Feedback: a ship with the sail

Teacher will give to each pupils a little ship with the sail. And pupils must colour the sail. So they can express their opinion coloring the sail.

 

Excellent (if everything is clear) – green

Good (If anything isn’t clear) – yellow

Bad (If nothing is clear) - red

 

Assessment 

After each part pupils will evaluate if they are satisfied or not with the help of their thunders
