Stand up! Good morning!
Sit down, please!
What date is it today?
Who is absent today? Ok, thank you. Now, class, how are you today? Are you
fine? Ok, thank you.
Now, class, how are you today? What is the weather
like today? Do you like such weather? What do
you
like
to
do
in
such
weather?
Are you waiting for spring?
Why?
What do you feel?
Ok, thank you.
Class, tell me, please, what topic are we studying
now?
Right.
During the lessons we at least once have spoken
about a book of your interest.
выписываешь на доску
«a
book of
your interest»
когда это говоришь. + What part of speech is used here?
Good for you. Now let’s refresh our memories. Could
you tell me what functions the indefinite article has?
Translate, please, the phrase “a descriptive
attribute”.
Exactly. To practice this rule you had to do the
exercises in your activity books. Let’s check them up. Open your activity
book on page 68, ex 4
Ex.4 p 68
Well done, children. Now, let’s translate the
sentences. Ex 5.
Good for you. You have done your homework with a
great attention. Well done. Let’s do another ex. to practice our skill on the
theme “The indefinite article” in order to speak fluently and correctly.
Let’s do ex. 6 in your activity book.
Ex.6, p. 68
Perfect. Now, I’m sure that you will use the
required article where it will be necessary in your speech to avoid mistakes.
We know that the article is used with the noun.
Right?
I have a question for you. Could you tell me ,
please, the categories of the noun?
What is the difference between the countable nouns
and uncountable ones?
Right you are. Could you remind me what categories
of uncountable nouns can be?
Good for you. Now let’s do ex. 7 on page 68.
Please, Долбнин
Миша и
Бессонова Ксюша
come
to the blackboard. Миша
should
search for countable nouns in this box. Ксюша-for
uncountable ones. The others open your notebooks and do this exercise in your
notebook. You have 3 minutes only to do this task.
Миша
и Ксюша,
thank you, you may sit down. Лена
и Саша
come to the blackboard, please. Check your classmates up, if they have made
mistakes, correct them.
Well-done, people .Now look at the blackboard.
Пишу на доске: Much/many.
Could you tell me what’s the difference between the
word “much” and the word “ many”.
Right you are. Let’s translate a few phrases.
1.
Много контейнеров
2.
Много войн
3.
Много любви.
4. Много
романов.
5.
Много приключений.
6.
Много молока.
7.
Много практики.
8.
Много персонажей.
9.
Много ужасов.
10. Много
заботы.
Very good. In our tasks, stories, we have met many
nouns, which require a lot of attention.
For example: in our vocabulary on the topic “Reading”,
we have met the word “contents”.
(Написать
слово
на
доске)
How can you translate it?
Good for you. As you can see that in Russian, we
translate it as the noun in the singular form. But in English, it is the noun
which is used in the plural form only, and it requires the verb in the plural
form too.
Let’s read the examples and then translate them. Open
your book on page 189.
Could you give me another examples of such words.
Right you are, but the words: information, news
and advice are used with the verb in the singular form.
If you want to say : 2 совет,
you should use the word: piece
e.g 2 pieces of advice
Let’s do ex.43
It’s high time to get acquaintance with a new
grammatical construction.
На русском языке она звучит так: кому-то
необходимо определенное кол-во времени, чтобы сделать что-то.
Look at the blackboard:
It takes+Objective pronoun(me,
you,him,her,it,us,them)/Noun
+ How much time?+inf.
E.g It takes him 2 months to read a historical
novel.
( Дать
перевод)
Let’s read the examples on page 190.
e.g It takes me 10 minutes to wash the
car.
How do we translate it?
On a sheet of paper, you can see how this
construction in different tenses is formed.
(см.
приложение 1)
Let’s translate some sentences.
I guess it’s better to combine the vocabulary on the
topic Reading with our new grammatical construction.
We stop here.
Your home task is ex 42 on page 188. See you soon
