Aim by the end of the lesson: the students will be able to describe pictures using active vocabulary
Objectives:-the students will practice derivatives;
-the students will name famous artists and paintings
-the students will practice asking questions;
-the students will describe pictures using new lexis;
-the students will speak about their own experince;
-the students will develop reading skills
Lexical material:-names of artists and paintings, adjectives for describing and comparing people and things, words connected with culture and art

Describing the pictures
In the third task you have a choice of three pictures. Choose the one you like. Imagine that it is a photo from your album. All pictures are connected with Art exhibitions
Use the following plan
-when and where you took the photo
-what/who is in the photo
-what is happening
-why you took the photo
Why you decided to show a picture to your friend
You have 1,5 minutes to prepare
You have to talk continuously for 2 minutes
Don’t forget about introduction and conclusion
Now look at the masterpieces that are world recognized
Try to describe them using the plan
