Цель: Повышение мотивации изучения английского языка; развитие навыков коммуникативного общения в группах; развитие индивидуальных личностных качеств участников игры.
Оборудование:
Участники: 2 команды по 4-5 человек, болельщики.
Ход игры
Teacher: Glad to see you everybody. Our game is called "A Lucky Chance". (титульныйслайд) You are welcome to our game. I want to introduce our contestants. Here the pupils from the 7a form .Let's cheer our teams!
Капитаныпредставляютучастников.
Our team is “Super Friends” Arzu, Farhad, Sveta and Helen are our team.
Our motto is “One for all and all for one”. Arzu is kind, Farhad is curious, Sveta is creative and Helen is good at sport.
“We are very super friends,
Our team is the best”
And this is the head of another team. Her name is Nastya. Nastya is a hard worker. She thinks before she does. Her rule is – ‘Start the work and finish it’. She can do many things well. She can write neatly and correctly, she can cook well.
The head of the first team: With pleasure. I am going to tell you a few words about Alexander. He is good at Maths and Physics because he works hard, does his homework properly, listens to the teachers carefully. He wants to get the top in his life.
This is Tolay. He does well at school, his favourite subjects are History and English. He gets along with his friends. He is well-read.
This is Yura. He is good at sport. He likes to play football.

Thank you for your information. Now let's warm-up. You have got a word "demonstration". Make up as many words as you can out of this word. I give you 5 minutes. Your fans can help you.
Для разминки дается слово “demonstration”. Команды получают задание составить как можно больше слов из букв этого слова. Болельщики могут помогать. Тот, кто составит больше слов, получает право на открытие первого раунда. Слова зачитываются командами по очереди. (слайд 2)

Retell, please, about the places of interests in London.

The Houses of Parliament is a very large building which stands near the Thames. There are two tall towers at the corners of the building and one of them is the Clock Tower.
The English people built the tower and the clock in 1858. The clock has four faces and a very big loud bell. The bell weighs 13 tons. The man in charge of the building was Sir Benjamin Hall. This man was very tall, and the workers and his friends called him Big Ben. So they called the bell Big Ben too.
On New Year’s night people come to the Clock Tower to see New Year in.
The Tower: (слайд 17)
The Tower of London is a very old building in London. It is nine hundred years old. It stands on the Thames.
In early days of the history of England the English kings and queens lived in the Tower. The Tower has a long and cruel history. It is not just one building. The tall building is the White Tower, the oldest part of the Tower of London. The Bloody Tower is near the river. You don’t see blood there today. But the Bloody Tower has a history of blood – the blood of men, women and even children. It was a prison where many people died, black ravens had much food near the walls of the Tower in those years.
The black ravens live in the gardens of Tower now. The English people like them very much. Beefeaters look after the ravens and give them meat.
Now the Tower is a museum and many people come to see it.
Westminster Abbey (слайд 18)
Standing not far from the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey is a symbol of England. The legend says that Westminster Abbey was founded by St. Peter himself. We know that Westminster Abbey was built by King Edward in 1065. The coronation of all British Kings and Queens takes place in Westminster Abbey. Somefamouspeoplearealsoburiedhere.
