T: Good day, my friends. Today
we have an unusual lesson-The Conference. We shall speak about Ecotourism in
Kazakhstan .You see our guest Proffesor Aida:
Kazakhstan has something for
every kind of tourist. A rich history and diverse ethnic heritage have left
scores of diverse sights of interest for the sightseer; the natural environment
offers innumerable opportunities in eco- and sports tourism, the latter
including trekking, mountaineering - Kazakhstan being particularly well
provided for as far as mountains are concerned - fishing and hunting, the
latter already popular with an established clientele who value the diversity of
species available and the relatively low cost of such trips. The Kazakhstan
Tourism Association (KTA) and the Ecotourism Resource and Information Centre
have joined The Region Initiative (TRI). Both organisations are of the oldest
in Kazakhstan and deal purely with Community Based Tourism Development and
Ecotourism. Kazakhstan is all about the greatness of the mountain peaks, sparkling
glaciers, mysteriousness of the deserts, giant rocky canyons, emerald lakes,
pertly running rivers, unique flora and fauna and the poetry of its sunlight. A
sizable piece of the Great Silk Way, (1400 km,) this is the country with the
most ancient civilization on the Eurasian continent and is also a home for
nomad tribes. Kazakhstan is the fatherland of the great philosopher and Sufism
founder, Hodzha Ahmet Jassaui. To top off the impressive heritage are about
27,000 antiquities in the Republic.Thank you, Let's read some information about
Ecotourism in our republic and do some conclusion:
ECOTOURISM
Each region of Kazakhstan has its own appeals for the
ecotourist; for this reason, ecotourism has developed widly throughout the
Republic. And although Kazakhstan is continuously increasing the pace of
technological and industrial development, this has not been allowed to diminish
her dazzling natural beauty. This is partly because the country is so huge that
there are thousands of locations so inaccessible that they remain completely
unspoiled. However, the government also plays a role, establishing protected
areas such as nature reserves and natural parks. Three of the most popular of
these are Aksu-Zhabagly nature reserve, Ile-Alatau National Park and Korgalzhyn
nature reserve.
The main ecotourism locations in Central Kazakhstan
are the natural oases at Karkaraly, Kent, Bugyly, Kyzylarai and Ulytau.
If your taste is for rather more active and
goal-oriented communing with nature, you might like to join one of the
specialised ecological tours that are growing in popularity. These tours can be
devoted to bird watching and/or ringing, which is popular in Aksu-Zhabagly and
Korgalzhyn nature reserves; or can be even narrower in scope, focussing possibly
on a single animal such as the snow leopard (Uncia uncia; Katon-Karagai national
park is a good place to see them) or the Semirechinsk salamander.

2 Korgalzhyn – place of reserve paths!
|
|
Welcome to Korgalzhyn!
Korgalzhyn national reserve has been nominated to the list of
UNESCO World Heritage. Ancient steppes and lakes are habitat for wolves, wild
boars and saiga, numerous species of birds.
Local lakes are places of concentration of large number of birds
(15 million birds can feed themselves only on Tegiz lake), especially in
spring and summer (from mid of April till October). Korgalzhyn reserve is a
house for the northernmost population of pink flamingo, which inhabit these
places from May till October.
Korgalzhyn village, which is located 45 kilometers away from
reserve, is a good place to start your trip to the region. There is an SPA
(Scientific Production Association) “Rodnik”, which organizes ecological
trips and accommodation in guest houses, which will also help you get
acquainted with wild nature of the region, have rest, go fishing to the bait
and cook a fish-soup.
Before entering the reserve, all visitors must registrar in the
administration and pay appropriate fee. Citizens of Kazakhstan and CIS
countries must have the copy of ID card and RNN; foreign visitors should have
an ID document with them. To visit the reserve, you should call the
administration in advance, and inform them about your intention to visit;

3 Ridder – routes of adventures and
leisure!
|
|
|
|
|
Ridder is
located in the northeastern part of Kazakhstan, in the foothill of Ivanovskiy
ridge (Altai Mountains), in intermountain cavity at an altitude of 700 to 900
meters above sea level. It is the land of contrasts: raging rivers and
majestic green forests, wonderful lakes like mirrors, and meadow valleys.
Climate here
is sharply continental; in summer temperature goes up to 35,4Cº; in winter
goes down to 41,3Cº.
Rivers: Gromatukha,
Tikhaya, Zhuravlikha, Bystrukha and Filippovka rivers, merging together, form
Ulba River. If you are full of energy and look for exciting adventures, then
there is an opportunity to go rafting on White and Black Uba rivers.
West-Altai state nature reserve (WASNR) is in the highest category of
“Strictly protected natural areas”. Climatic conditions of the reserve show
all the specific features of South Siberian taiga. Flora is represented by
880 species, out of which 96 are rare species in need of special protection,
including 27 species that are recorded into The Red Book of Kazakhstan. Fauna
consists of 150 species of birds, 55 species of mammals, and about 10 thousand
