T: Hello, everybody. The subject of our lesson today is “Where can you work?”. We are going to have a lesson-discussion, business game where various jobs will be discussed. You know that people must be tolerant to each other, so let’s start with saying compliments .

«You are so beautiful today» -

«It’s a pleasure to talk to you»

«It’s a pleasure to deal with you»

You are handsome man.

You are so clever.

«Your look is pretty good today»

«You are a terrific leader»

To Choose and What to Choose – This is the Question”

What do you already know about jobs?

Talk about what you know. Get together with a group of students to talk about what you already know about jobs Here are some questions to help you get started:

  1. What kind of professions do you know?

There are many professions which I know. For example a driver, a fireman, a carpenter, an electrician, a lineman.

  1. Why do people have to work?

Because it is necessary for people.

  1. What about you?

People have to work to receive money or they like to work because enjoyed with it.

  1. What are the most dangerous jobs?

The most dangerous jobs are an electrician, a fireman, a builder and etc.

  1. What do you think it is easy to choose a profession?

It is not easy to choose a profession.

  1. Who can help you to make the right choice of a job?

My parents and my teachers help me to make the right choice of a job.

  1. Why did you choose the job of electrician?

Because my father is an electrician and I would like it.

  1. What about you?

I choose this job I think it is well paid job.

Next task is to do the exercise. Your task is to find the name of the profession. If you guess it correctly. You’ll see its picture on the active board.

Match the pictures to the sentences.

1.You examine an ill patient. Then you make the patient’s diagnosis and write a prescription. The patient takes it and goes to a chemist. What’s the name of the job? ( a doctor)

2. – You designs and draws plans for new buildings and cities. Your work is creative and interesting.( an architect)

3. - You teach pupils, students. Your job is difficult, but you have a long holidays.(a teacher)

4. –You don’t walk in your cabin. You don’t talk to the people in your cabin. You are in the air. The job is dangerous but interesting. (a pilot)

5. - you want to put new windows into your house. (a carpenter)

6. - you want a portrait photograph of yourself (a photographer)

7. - you want to learn to drive (a driving instructor)

8. - you work with the wires and with the currents. Your work is very dangerous (an electrician)

1.If you work at best- paid job you have opportunity to travel to the other countries. 2. To become a professional engineer, you must have a college degree in engineering.3. The favorite jobs for the boys were engineering, playing football. 4. I hope I’ve chosen the right profession. 5. My Future Profession

In early childhood children tell their parents whom they would like to be when they grow up. In school students begin thinking of their future profession. There are lots of professions in the world, and all of them are interesting and exciting. So it's very hard to discover your vocation in life.

The choice of profession depends on your abilities. If you are good at humanities you should choose something in this field. And if you are good at natural sciences you should choose something closely connected with them. I would like to become physicist because I like a physics. I think that it is a very interesting subject, but I am not so good at it so I think that I am not suitable for this profession. Inspire of all I possess some qualities which are needed in this field.

I think that my future profession will be an electrician. I am capable to work with wires and currents, and I also possess the qualities needed in this work. They are accuracy, energy, carefulness. But I hesitate if I have enough patience. I must develop it if I want to become an electrician . In our modern world it's hard to do without electricity.

My Future Profession
