Theme of the lesson: William Shakespeare

Aims of the lesson:

  • Активизировать речемыслительную деятельность учащихся.

  • Развивать монологическую и диалогическую речь.

  • Развивать навыки аудирования.

Objects:

Educational: формирование и развитие коммуникативных умений учащихся с использованием лексического, грамматического материала.

Development:

  • интеллектуальное развитие учащихся;

  • развитие языковых, интеллектуальных и познавательных способностей, ценностных ориентаций, чувств и эмоций школьника, готовность к коммуникации;

  • гуманитарное и гуманистическое развитие личности ученика.

The Procedure of the lesson

  1. Organization moment

Speech drill: Good morning (afternoon) children. Before the lesson start each of you take a card, look at what number in your card and go each to his desk. It will be very interesting lesson. Be active, please!

Teacher: Ok, who is on duty stand up please? What day is it today? What day of the week is it today? Who is absent? What was your home task for today?

P1. Today is the 26-th of January. Today is Tuesday. All are present.

P1. Our home task was preparing information about Charles Dickens.

  1. Warming up (Brainstorming):

Teacher: At first, I would like you to guess the theme of our lesson today. (Играет музыка С. Прокофьева «Ромео и Джульетта») You can hear the piece of music. I think it helps you to guess. The name of this music is “Romeo and Juliet”. Do you know the author of this tragedy? Yes, you are right. The author of this tragedy is William Shakespeare. As you understood the theme of our lesson is “William Shakespeare”, his biography and work.

  1. Presentation about William Shakespeare:

Teacher: Look at the blackboard, please. You can see the well-known phrase: “To be or not to be – that is the question”. Who can translate it? You are absolutely right. Open your copybooks and write it down with the translation. Are you ready?

Teacher: And now look at the puzzle. We have to repeat our words. Your task is to find as many words as you can. Please go to the blackboard, strike out the word you like and translate it, please.

Teacher: And now I`m sure that you are ready to do a Cinquein and check the information we`ve repeat together about William. Is it clear? Good for you.

Правила написания синквейна

  1. Первая строка - одним словом обозначается тема (имя существительное).

  2. Вторая строка - описание темы двумя словами (имена прилагательные).

  3. Третья строка - описание действия в рамках этой темы тремя словами

  4. (глаголы, причастия).

  5. Четвертая строка - фраза из четырех слов, выражающая отношение к теме

(разные части речи).

  1. Пятая строка - это синоним из одного слова, который повторяет суть темы.

Описание:

Материал данного урока был представлен на городском семинаре учителей иностранного языка. Данная тема способствовала более тесному знакомству с творчеством Английских писателей. На уроке были закреплены навыки аудирования, диалоговой и монологовой речи. Основным приоритетом была работа в группах, парные виды работ, составление синквейнов. При оценки групповой и индивидуальной работы ребята использовали метод оценивания Одо.
