Teacher’s notes.

This is a cut and paste activity so you might tell your students to have some paper and glue.

What you have to do is the following. Print out as many copies as you need =) Cut the pieces of the story, remembering their sequence. Then mix them and hand out to your students (one copy per each person or per a team) and tell them to build up the story. Whoever finishes first is the winner.

Some extra activities. Make the students rewrite the story from the third person Singular, put 10 questions to the story. Act out a story as the interview one student asking questions and other one answering them.

Описание:

Открытый урок  английского языка на тему: “My family

Учитель: Братковская Яна Валерьевна

УМК «Spotlight» 5класс. Module 4  “Family ties”.

Задачи:

Ø образовательные:

-повторить лексику по теме «Члены семьи»;

-учить воспринимать на слух иноязычную речь с пониманием основной  информации;

-учить читать текст с полным пониманием информации;

-учить употреблять глагол can, выражая возможность;

-практиковать в устной речи с элементами описания, используя новые прилагательные.

Ø развивающие:

-развивать способности учащихся использовать английский язык как средство общения.

Ø воспитательные:

-воспитывать языковыми средствами английского языка добрые отношения к семье, членам семьи.

Ø здоровьесберегающие:

-сохранять психологическое и физическое здоровье учащихся, используя различные формы и методы обучения на уроках английского языка, а также  физкультминутки.

 

Оборудование:

- учебник SPOTLIGHT 5 (Students book) Ю.Е.Ваулина, В.Эванс, Д.Дули, О.Е. Подоляко. – М.: Express Publishing: Просвещение, 2011.

 - презентация к уроку “Power Point”;

- видео песня “My family”;

- карточки с изображениями членов семьи;

-доска;

-компьютер;

-проектор;

-рабочие листы.

 

Ход урока.

Ø Организационный момент

      There’s the bell. Please, stand straight. Hello, my dear boys and girls! (Hello!) I’m glad to see you again. How are you? (We are fine, thanks. And you?) I’m very well, too. Thank you. Sit down, please. Who’s on duty today? (I am.) What’s the date today? (Today is the     of October.) What day of the week is today? (Today is Wednesday.) Who’s absent? (Nobody is. All are present.) If everybody is present, it is very pleasant.

Are you ready to start the lesson? (Yes, we are.)

Ø Фонетическая зарядка:

Look at the blackboard and try to read the sentences!

1.Father, mother, sister, brother

Hand in hand with one another!

 

 2. This is my mother,

     This is my father,

     This is my brother Paul.

     This is my sister,

     This is my uncle.

     How I love them all!

 

Ø Актуализация лексики по теме.

( На доске нарисована схема семейного дерева).

      So, children, let’s plant our family tree. You see a lot of photos on the board.  Help me, please. This is Peter s family tree. Let’s put photos in correct order.(приложение 1).  (Ученик выходит к доске, отвечает на вопрос, закрепляет фотографию на семейном древе, берет следующую фотографию и задает вопрос одноклассникам и т.д.)Take the next photo and ask your classmates.

-Who is he (she)?

 Look at the blackboard, children! We have a big nice family tree. Do you like our tree? I think you are ready to say what the topic of the lesson is. My Family»)

 

Ø Введение новой лексики. Работа со словарем.

1) Let’s look at the table with different traits of character:

 

1.     Cool

 4. clever

  7. funny

2.     kind

 5. friendly

  8. naughty

3.     sweet

 6. noisy

  9.  caring

 

Which words do you know? How do you translate them? ( учащиеся повторяют слова за учителем, затем выписывают их в словарь)

2)  Let’s try to describe your family members using these adjectives.

- My mother is….. (caring, sweet, beautiful);

- My father is …… ( funny, clever, handsome) ;

-My brother is….. (noisy, cool, friendly).

Ø 2) And now guess some traits of character!

-  He knows many things. He studies very well. He likes reading books. He is…?? (clever)

           - She  has  got a lot of friends. She  likes to spend her free time with them.  She is…..??? (friendly)

         - I know many jokes. I like telling stories. I can make people laugh. Im… ?  (funny)

         Good job!

Ø  Совершенствование навыков чтения с полным пониманием прочитанного.

1)    Please, open your books  page 56 and look at the picture. Some people have diaries. They write interesting moments of their life there. Who has got a diary? What do you write there about? Here is a page from Kate Green’s diary, let’s read it and translate in turn. Start, please.

2)    Now, let’s check how do you understand this text ( ex.2,p.56). Read and mark the sentence R(Right), W(Wrong) or DS (Doesn’t Say). (учащиеся выполняют задание в тетрадях).

3)    Взаимоконтроль .Change your work with your partner . And now let’s check up your answers. Well done!

Ø Развитие навыков говорения. (монологическая форма речи)

1) Let’s talk about Kate’s family! Who would like to tell us about Kate’s mother (father, brother, baby sister, grandpa, grandma).

        2). Who wants to tell about his/her family to the class? Look at the cards. You may use the following plan:

Ø Развитие грамматических навыков.

1)    Open your book on p.57 ex. 5. Let’s remember the verb can. Read the table, please. And now let’s remember what members of Kate’s family can or can’t do!

Ø Puzzling story. (Работа в группах)

(учитель делит класс на две группы, выдает карточки с отрывками  текста) (приложение 3)

Well, the next task for you is a puzzling story.  Put extracts  in a proper way, please.

 

Ø Подведение итогов урока.  

1)Today we have practiced our abilities to speak on the topic "Family”. . Now we can describe all of them and say what they are like and what they are not like, what they can or can’t do.  Now we are ready to sing a song about some members of the family. Учащиеся прослушивают  и просматривают видеозапись и поют песню о семье.

2)    Рефлексия. It was interesting to know about your families. I think you can tell your English friends about your family. And what was the most interesting for you?

Ученикам предлагается оценить свою работу на уроке с помощью карточек- смайликов (зеленый – урок понравился, трудностей при выполнении заданий не возникло; желтый – возникли некоторые затруднения при выполнении отдельных заданий; красный – материал урока показался сложным).

3)     HOMETASK: write a diary page about your family (A4). Use Kate s secret diary as a model. Be creative! Use photos, crayons and of course your imagination!

              The lesson is over. Come to me and get your marks. Good – Bye!
